Background

The AIP Certified Coach Practitioner Training Program teaches the science and implementation of the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) within a holistic understanding of health. In the simplest terms, we believe we are all linked and that seeking health and building community is an interdependent project that must be rooted in social equity. We recognize that systemic barriers result in Black, Indigenous, and Persons of Color (BIPOC) people facing disproportionate burdens in health and accessing care, particularly in the United States. These same systems of racism and oppression have structured what has long been a highly homogenous healthcare field, which further disadvantages diverse patient populations.

The AIP Certified Coach BIPOC Scholarship was created in 2020 as part of our effort to advance social and health equity. To date, over $35,000 in scholarships has been granted to train and certify BIPOC AIP Certified Coaches. We will continue to deliver on this mission into the future as we also expand the scholarship program in 2025 with additional support for even more underserved communities around the world with AIP Certified Coach Impact Scholarships.

Our Mission

The mission of our BIPOC Scholarship is to provide opportunity to self-identified BIPOC health and wellness practitioners who seek continuing education and training focused specifically on the autoimmune population. In particular, we seek to support qualified practitioners who are already attempting to address racial disparities in the health and wellness field and are actively planning to serve BIPOC autoimmune clients or patients.

The mission of the Impact Scholarship is to reach more people living with autoimmune diseases with resources and support for using AIP to improve their quality of life and overall wellness. This offering provides support for existing practitioners who are members of underserved communities throughout the world or who have a financial need, with priority placed on those whose current or intended client or patient population is representative of a population facing these barriers.

Collectively, these two scholarship programs aim to break down barriers that prevent qualified practitioners from becoming AIP Certified Coaches and to make the AIP more accessible in all communities and by those impacted by racial disparities.
